Sau ca sa nu modifici de fiecare data intri in index.php de la tema si inlocuiesti:

cu

si la mine im cod am folosit in loop the_excerpt iar pentru read more: <a href="<?php the_permalink() ?>" rel="bookmark">Read More </a>

Blogspot este o platforma free din cate imi amintesc si nu cred ca ai acces la fisiere prin FTP.

La wordpress ai varianta de editare text si HTML, la varianta text ai un meniu si acolo ai o chestie cu insert tag more.......dai click si se baga o linie...aia face ca ce este deasupra liniei sa apara pe index...restu daca intri pe articol
